Cushion!

I have been promising to make a cushion for the couch for quite a while now (At least 6 months, I'd guess), and finally I have! I started to make one out of little crochet flowers, but that took way too long and was very fiddly work. So I switched to little granny squares as seen on Attic24! While I would have liked to make the cushion in bright summery colors, I used Autumn colors to match the living room. I think it turned out well!

Almost School Time

Well, summer is almost over.... This school year all three of us will be going to new schools. Chloe will be going to Olathe Northwest, and Liam and I both will be going to Brighton Academy.

Horse at Hobbit Hollow

We often visit some land where my dad used to live when he was younger called Hobbit Hollow. They have goats, chickens, and all kinds of things to do! Just recently, they got a horse!! They are only boarding it there, but they will have it for a while. The horse's name is "Little Man." He used to be a rodeo horse and is very nice. My dad's Aunt Jean was showing me how to trot, but Little Man was really tired, so he didn't want to. I hope we will get to make it out there soon to ride him again!

A Trip to the Movies

We had all been wanting to see Toy Story 3, so two days ago, Dad said we were going!! Everyone in our family (except Moby, of course!) loved it!! It was clever, cute, funny, and action-packed. So, I would highly recommend it to everyone!

Socks

About a month ago, we went to the Farmers Market. Now, there's a yarn store nearby, and I like to go in there and look around when I get the chance. Our Nana was with us, so she said I could get a 9 inch circular needle and some sock yarn, because I'd never made socks before. So I got some Poems Sock and found a pattern on a website called Ravelry. It was a really easy pattern, too! (Well, the heel was a little bit tricky, but I figured it out!) So, here they are!

Thanks, Nana! :)
