Baseball!

Liam's baseball season is almost over. Even if they haven't won a game, they are having fun!
GO BLUE LASERS!

Yard Sale

We were going to go pick up Liam from a day camp he has had for the past week. On the way there, we saw a garage sale with a sign that said "Fabric for Quilts." But we had already driven past the turn! So, on the way back, we had to stop. Mom got some green metal salt shakers, and Mia got some kitten salt shakers. I got some embroidery thread and tea towels, and a few fat quarters. Also, I bought Grandma an embroidery transfer pen, which she had been wanting. I think that's everything! It was a very, very good garage sale!

February Lady Sweater

I am making a sweater with some green wool that my Aunt gave me a few years ago.

It's actually more of a cardigan than a sweater, though. So far I'm probably a little less than halfway done with it. I still need to do the sleeves and finish up the rest of the main part. I hope I don't run out of yarn!

It's a lace cardigan with garter stitch edging.

So far I'm having fun making it!

Jam on Biscuits, Jam on toast...

...Jam is the thing that I like most...

Recently, we went strawberry picking at a friend's garden. We picked two enamel bowlfuls. One was huge!
So anyway, we took the stems off and put them all on a cookie sheet. Then a little bit of sugar was sprinkled over the berries. Into the freezer they went. I think they will go into freezer bags soon!

With the overripe berries, we made freezer jam. Freezer jam is really nice because you don't have to cook the fruit. You just mash four cups of fruit, add sugar, and some pectin. (The pectin makes the jam not so liquid.) Then they go in the fridge or the freezer. Mom won't let us eat it yet though. She says we have to finish the store-bought jelly first. Which is going to take a while, because it's a Costco-sized jar. Oh well.

...Blackberry, Strawberry, Raspberry, I'm very,

...FOND OF JAM!
